Fathers Day Gifts
Father's day gift for my dad from the girls.
Father's Day gift for my grandfather from the girls. They are oven mitts/pads that have their handprints and say "Helping Hands" on the bottom. So the girls are 'helping' him every time he cooks.
P.S. Not sure why I am having trouble getting the last two posts to look presentable. Sorry. :( But you get the idea!
Ties
Made two ties for gifts.
The first is a onesie tie I made as a shower gift for friend's baby Connor.
The second is a Mickey tie for another friends son Zach, who loves Mickey. I gave it to him as an early birthday present. What a handsome man! His is removable, he can wear with any shirt.

Fathers Day Dinner
The girls and I surprised Kevin with a Fathers Day
gift early, a trip to BD's Mongolian Grill. Our favorite place.
We had a great dinner. The food was amazing (as always)
and the girls were good. Cant ask for anything more! As you can tell Alexis
reaaaally like the tortillas. Shed scream"Yay!" everytime I'd give her one.
She also was convinced that the chopsticks were
drums sticks. She would say "1, 2.." and then start playing the drums on the table.
A sorry goes out to the table next to ours.

As for Payton, she was just happy with noodles and crackers.
Matt's Wedding
One of our best friends, and Alexis' Godfather got married June 15th.
Kevin was in the wedding (the third groomsmen).
It was at Shaker Run Golf Club in Lebanon and it was simply beautiful!
My husband cleans up well. ;)

Friends, Wine and Beer
Valley Vineyard Wine Festival
All I can say is, I definitely recommend!
Unfortunately it is only once a year.
Overnight
Got my binkie, fwankie and Baby B... I'm ready to go to Gee's!
Alexis and Payton had a great time overnight with Gee and Da while Mommy and Daddy went to a wedding. She grabbed all of her bedtime stuff herself and told me she was ready to go to their house.

Lets Make a Deal
I envision this is what played out here...
Payton- I'll trade you all of my Cheerios for whats in that bowl?
Alexis- I'll give you whats in the bowl, and you can keep the Cheerios if you let me play with your shape sorter?
Payton- DEAL!
Shortly after I found out I was pregnant with another girl we bought this table that just happened to have two chairs. I put each of their names on one. It took more than 9 months, but Payton finally got to use hers! For the longest time Alexis just thought she was lucky enough to have two chairs to choose from. Believe me, she has made use of both chairs! However, I think she enjoyed sitting at the table with her sister. I think for a long time Alexis thought her sister was nothing more than a moving baby doll. Now, she has realized that she is in fact staying and is a real thing. I believe she has mixed feelings about this. They are already fighting like sisters, but nothing makes me happier than the times I hear them play and giggle!

Onesie Blanket
This is the start of it anyway...
I got the idea from Pinterest, of course. I saw this idea last week and decided I must do it! So I went in the basement and rummaged through all of her old clothes. I started cutting immediately! I must say though it was quite sad to cut the first few. I love the idea of keeping them forever, but when you do it this way you cant see just how tiny all of these clothes were. However, you just cant keep boxes and boxes of clothes in you basement forever.
This is it all laid out and I have since sewn all the front pieces together. Now I am just waiting to find the right fabric for the back to complete it.

Pears Anyone?
She has been able to feed herself Cheerios for some time now, but we just recently started letting her feed herself "real" food. Aside from all the bites of cookies, muffins, donuts, ice cream cone, etc she has been given from her bad Grandma and Great Great Grandma!
This is her eating cut up pears. She has already learned the art of shoveling her food in her mouth. Prolly got that technique from her older sister... or her Mommy! :)
We just went to the doctor yesterday and they suggested only letting her have a bottle 2 ozs at a time before and after meals. Not really ever heard of this technique. But I went ahead and did it all day today. Of course I gave her a little more than just two ounces at a time... baby steps right? And to my surprise she actually took a sippy cup while sitting in her high chair. Maybe the high chair was the key all along. Wish me luck tomorrow!
