Christmas with the Derrows

Getting the girls to take a nice picture...

Girls, sit down in your rocking chairs.

Girls look at the camera!

Oh, ok you can have your babies in the picture. But look at the camera and say Cheese!

OK, screw it! This one will do!

Alexis say Cheese! Ok, you dont have to,

Oh girls look at this rattle!
Oh Bria, you hate to have your picture taken?

Bria, good job! Oh wait, Payton are you whispering bad things about your Mommy in Bria's ear?

What a mess!
I guess we will just remember in our heads that you loved Christmas, and loved having your picture taken!!

Our Final Designs for Christmas Cards

Unfortunately for myself, I can never just send out ONE Christmas card!!

Sent this one to a few family members who come over Christmas Eve

Sent this to out of town family and friends.

And sent this one to everyone else.

I'd say after a few photoshoots and a lot of stress for Momma my kids finally sat for a few good pictures!

Baking Christmas Cookies

My mom got us all matching aprons that she had made for us to wear to bake cookies this year. Because clearly if you look good baking, the cookies have to taste good!

Alexis was our official Taste Tester... she liked them as you can see.

Payton helped us out in the kitchen. Her apron doesn't fit her yet. Next year she will look just as good as the rest of us. And I'm sure she will help her sister out with her job as Taste Tester.

25 Days of Christmas (Days 6-14)

Day 6

Write Letter to Santa
Or in this case.. Mommy wrote them. Shown below is Alexis in her sister swing. She is entirely too big for it and would LOVE Santa to bring her own rocking chair.

Day 7

Make Hot Chocolate

Alexis loved it so much we had to take her shirt off because she was making such a mess

Day 8

Color Christmas Pictures

Day 9

Was supposed to be Watch a Christmas Movie
..BUT Hangover 2 came out, so we watched that and ate Christmas cookie cake instead

Day 10

An unexpected surprise came in the mail... A letter from Santa!

Another tradition in the Morrison Family is to watch the newest Jackass movie (usually given as a gift on Christmas day)!! Lets just say Alexis paid ENTIRELY too much attention too it. Silly Mommy thought she would just play with her toys. NOPE! She loved it.

Day 12

Decorate the House in Snowflakes

Day 13

Go Visit Santa

As shown.. Clearly Alexis LOVED him!

Day 14

Watch a Christmas Movie and eat Christmas Trail Mix

25 Days of Christmas (Days 1-5)

I have started a new tradition for Alexis, and next year for Payton, with this Advent Calendar. I made itfrom a premade one I found in the $1 section at Target... even though it happened to be one of their $2.50 items. Then I took scrapbook paper and made a cute card to go in each day. Each day has something different for us to do.

 Day 1
Decorate the house

Day 2

Take Christmas Pictures

Although I forgot I took this picture and forgot to put it on the Christmas Card! Oops.

Day 4
Read a Christmas Book
I bought her a new book about the real meaning of Christmas. She was very excited to open it and read it. However...

The Christmas App on our Kindle seemed to make her the most happy. Oh well.. its technically a Christmas book. My how technology has changed.

Since Payton doesnt get to participate we dressed her Build a Bear in a Rudolph outfit. This is her at 15 Weeks Old. She is truly our little tiny... and our Christmas Bundle of Joy

Day 5
Make Snowmen
Sincce it wasnt cold enough, although it def rained enough, for snowmen... we made our own inside.

It wouldnt be Christmas in the Morrison/Maher Family if we didnt give a few presents before Christmas. Payton is sure enjoying her new Baby Einstein Entertainer.
