She's been able to say this for awhile... BUT one year olds don't like to cooperate for the camera.

After our traumatic trip to the doctor to fix her boo boo we had to take a trip to Landen Park.

We visited Daddy and got Hawaiian Ice and played on the swings.

All while repeating her new favorite word, 'woah'.

Happy Mother's Day!

Ben came up with this GREAT idea.. that Mommy needs a shirt that says "I Heart My Kids". So he comes to me for help. He drew out the design, down to the fact that he wanted the 'i' to have a heart for the dot. I painted the design on the shirt for him. He gave it to her on Mothers Day, and of course she wore it! Best shirt ever! And she does have wonderful kids. :)

Alexis had so much fun making Mother's Day gifts! She was at it for at least 30 mins, making sure the picture was JUST right.

Smart Girl

I have been reading a book that goes through the different developmental stages Alexis should be reaching each month. This month it said that she should be able to pass shapes through a shape sorter. WELL, we didn't have a shape sorter at the time, and this was the only thing on the list she couldn't do.  So what do I do you ask? I make an urgent trip to the store to buy her one! Not only is she getting the hang of working it, but she puts the matching shapes together before she passes them through the right hole. I am one proud Mama!

"Smart Girl" because it was merely trial and error. What a party pooper! 

Truett's First Birthday Party

Alexis had a wonderful time.. however she thought the party was for her. 

"I'm one again?"

 We caught you! Alexis your daddy is going to have to lock you up!

 

"What? We weren't doing anything! He had something caught in his...uh...ear."

She even thought the gifts were for her.
