Alexis' Birthmark

For those who haven't been to Shriner's Hospital (aside from the obviously sad reason most kids visit this hospital) it's a wonderful place! They really make it a fun and enjoyable experience for the kids. The whole waiting area looked like a little town. Complete with (fake) Barber Shop, Towne Hall, General Store, etc. There was also a playground, countless toys and even a carnival horse!!!

Alexis and I had a fun outing. She was so good and as patient as a 4 year old could be.

The doctor said that the birthmark on her face and three others that she has are all the same thing. He explained that they aren't much different than a normal mole that anyone gets. He couldn't guarantee us, obviously, that it was something that wouldn't cause us any problems down the road, but he felt pretty confident that it wouldn't. His advice was just to watch it and see. And I'm sorry he had a name for them (my husband has a light one on his back too) and I can't remember.

Anyway, this was great news! We want to keep it! It's her and we love it! :)
